Our fascination with nature frequently takes us to remote regions in faraway countries. We have travelled numerous times to the USA, to Shetland, Canada and Australia.

Every trip is preceded by a time of intense preparation. Making a trip successful requires a large amount of flexibility and a lot of time. We usually travel just by the two of us or - when necessary - in the company of local guides.

To get a really good impression of a country we tend to visit each region several times or over a longer period of time.

We find our subjects everywhere out in the countryside which also goes for our native Switzerland: Our "home ground" is the Neeracher Ried, one of the last large lowland marshes in Switzerland, which conveniently stretches to just outside our front door ...
